Last week's highlights

The Central Bank of Iceland released the minutes of the last meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee.

Landsvirkjun released results for the first nine months of 2018.

The Treasury bought back own bonds for ISK 24bn.

Based on the LFS, unemployment was 2.3% in October.

The week ahead

On Thursday, Statistics Iceland will release consumer price index (CPI) for November. We expect the CPI to increase 0.3% MoM, bringing the inflation rate to 3.3%.

On Friday, Icelandair will hold a shareholders’ meeting to decide on the proposed acquisition of WOW air.

Changes to tariff for Priority Pass

The fee for visiting Priority Pass airport lounges will increase from ISK 2900 to ISK 3900 as of 21. October 2019. At the same time, a fee of ISK 1900 will be charged on the re-issuance of Priority Pass cards.
