A total of 2.3 million foreign passengers departed Iceland through Keflavík International Airport last year, a 5.5% increase compared to 2017.

Statistics Iceland published tourism short-term indicators.

The real exchange rate of the Icelandic krona was 9.2% lower in December 2018 than in the same month 2017.

Statistics Iceland released revised numbers for trade in goods for the first 11 months of 2018 as well as preliminary numbers for December 2018.

Icelandair released traffic data for December 2018.

Macro note: 1.7% GDP growth in Q1

In real terms, the economy grew by 1.7% YOY in Q1. Domestic demand decreased by 2.8%, exports increased by 2.6% and imports decreased by 8.1.
