The MPC’s report to parliament was published on the CBI’s website.

Statistics Iceland estimates that unemployment was 1.4% in December.

The wage index in December was unchanged between months.

Arion Bank issued new bonds in NOK, Íslandsbanki increased the size of two bonds in SEK and NOK.

The week ahead

On Tuesday, Statistics Iceland will release CPI numbers for January. We expect a 0.5% drop between months and the headline number to decrease from 3.7% to 3.3%.

Landsbankinn Chosen Best Bank in Iceland

The Icelandic Tourist Board published its monthly Tourism in figures report. The housing price index for the capital region increased 0.2% MoM in June, bringing the YoY increase to 3.2%.

The CBI released the minutes from the last meeting of the MPC. The real exchange rate of the Icelandic krona was 10.2% lower in June than in June 2018. The Government Debt Management Agency published its monthly Market Information report.
