Landsbankinn changes interest rates

Fixed rates on non-indexed 60-month housing loans decrease by 0.20 percentage points (pp) and fixed rates on 36-month housing loans by 0.10 pp. Fixed rates on 60-month inflation-indexed housing loans decrease by 0.10 pp.

Floating interest rates on non-indexed housing mortgages decrease by 0.10 percentage points. Floating rates on vehicle and equipment financing decrease by 0.10-0.50 pp. Interest on overdraft credit and time payment loans decrease by 0.25 pp. Other floating non-indexed lending rates in ISK decrease by 0.10-0.25 pp.

Floating deposit rates in ISK in most cases decrease by 0.05-0.20 pp while remaining unchanged in some cases.

Landsbankinn's new interest rate tariff enters into effect on 3 September 2019.

Financial results of Landsbankinn in H1 of 2020

Landsbankinn's after-tax performance was negative by ISK 3.3 billion during the first half of 2020, compared with a profit of ISK 11.1 billion during the same period in 2019. Loan impairment amounted to ISK 13.4 billion during the period, equal to about 1.1% of the bank‘s loan portfolio, compared with an impairment of ISK 2.4 billion in the same period last year.
